Any K-8 educator interested in STEM Education. We value the “Arts” in (STEAM) and will provide opportunities for the arts at STEM Camp EDU, however, the emphasis of this event will be heavily emphasized on STEM. There will be plenty of learning for everyone!
For non-credit, it costs $199 before May 31st, 2023. Price will increase to $299 on June 1st. For 3 credits, the cost is FREE (included in tuition).
STEM Camp EDU is an interactive, hands-on professional learning experience for K8 educators. This experience involves making, coding, tinkering, and designing using STEM education principles to engage learners in the classroom setting. Our team consists of teachers, administrators, and instructional leaders who facilitate the STEM Camp learning experience.

STEM Camp was designed for K-8 teachers interested in learning about STEM/STEAM and integrating it into classroom learning. We encourage all levels of interest and experience in STEM, particularly those looking to invigorate curriculum.
While many PD opportunities are presentation led, we use the hands-on, lead learner model. This model engages the attendees on the stage of learning while coached by our facilitators. We believe in having fun while learning. If you like to sit and listen to someone talk at you for the entire day, STEM Camp EDU is probably not for you!
STEM Camp Edu provides 3 graduate credits through Harrisburg University. All hours of attendance will count towards hours of completion in the grad course. Additional online work will be offered before and after the event for those who choose the 3 credit track. Many of our attendees choose this option!
STEM Camp EDU began in the summer of 2016 at the campus of Kutztown University. Our partnership with the Corbett Experience Center began in the summer of 2018.

Payments can be made via Credit Card, Check or Purchase Order upon registration. An automated confirmation will appear in your email inbox with payment information to make payments later.
100% refund is offered up to 30 days prior to the first day of STEM Camp Edu (minus $50). 50% refund is offered up to three weeks prior to the event. NO refunds will be offered within three weeks of STEM Camp Edu. Only payment will secure registration.
Yes, however only payment will confirm your registration and guarantee your spot. STEM Camp Edu is in high demand, therefore, registration is on a first come first serve basis per 100 registrants. Payment can be made up to 30 days of the event.
No. Hotel accomodations will be the sole responsibility of the participants. Accomodations to nearby hotels were secured for all STEM Camp registrants. We highly encourage attendees to stay overnight due to the length of days. More information coming soon!
Yes. Because of the nature of the event, STEM Camp Edu is planned up to the event itself. There are many fun surprises at STEM Camp so we will send you an at a glance agenda and event details prior to the event in June.
Yes! We are not a provider of Act 48 hours, however, we do provide letters of completion to all attendees for completion at the conclusion of the event. It is the responsibility of the attendees to submit those hours to their school district for Act 48 credit. Sign-In each day is a requirement to receive those hours. Please check with your employer to make sure they will accept the hours of completion.
Absolutely! We encourage teachers to earn 3 graduate level credits by taking the course in addition to the event. The extra assignments are extremely beneficial, practical, and engaging.
Yes. We allow commuters, although we highly encourage staying nearby at a hotel. Each day is packed with activities and events you don’t want to miss! If you commute, you will need to plan for the hours of 8AM through 8PM each day. Due to the nature of a graduate course, there is a requirement to sign in and out each day.
Sorry, this is a professional environment. We do not allow family members to come on campus. Besides, this event will be so invigorating, you won’t have the time to spend with them! There will be plenty of downtime to make calls or FaceTime the family!
The main sponsorship is provided by PD Campus, a K12 professional development organization. PD Campus is a provider of graduate level professional development credits. STEM Camp Edu lead learners are Campus instructors as well as STEM practicioners in the K12 classroom. Check out our many sponsors for the event.
We offer a light breakfast each of the three mornings. This includes coffee, bagels, pastries, and some fruit. If you'd like to eat a full breakfast before, you are more than welcome. We cater out lunches and dinners. One night we will go out to a restaurant within a couple miles of the Corbett Experience Center. These meals are all included in your Conference or Credit price!
Yes. We try our best to accomodate everyone. Upon registration, you will receive a form to fill out prior to the event (a couple weeks before the event) detailing any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
You will 100% get to play, tinker, and ask questions about all the educational tools we will be bringing to STEM Camp EDU this year. This includes, but is not limited to, Makey Makeys, Spheros, 3D Printers, Micro:Bits, Ozobots, LittleBits, VEX Robotics, and more! We promise these "sessions" will be more of an experience!
We will provide a continental breakfast each morning, snacks and drinks throughout the day, lunch and dinner. All meals are provided by our wonderful event sponsors and catered. You may bring a fillable water bottle to carry with you. We start on-time each morning so be here early to jump start your day at our wonderful coffee station!
